Pearl Harbour was a side-show to the Japanese who were being brought to their knees economically by aggressive and covert hostile American, British and Dutch actions. FDR deliberately set up his naval officers and sailors to die so he could use it for political ammunition while blaming them for the defeat! (See minor error note on the bottom).
